Makeup is an art that you acquire with practice, each woman puts on makeup according her skin tone and preference of colors to make herself appear attractive.
While putting your foundation on, if you want sheer coverage, use your fingers. But, if you want a full coverage, use a foundation brush.
Always apply foundation using downward strokes. Most of us have a thin layer of hair on our face, and applying foundation in an upward stroke will make the hair strands stand out. Looking fresh and pink like a peach may be your goal, but highlighting your peach fuzz definitely shouldn’t be.
Cover your eyelid with white liner to make any eyeshadow shade pop
Use Mascara as
If you have run out of eye liner and you are in a hurry, you can use your mascara instead. Just rub an eye liner brush over the mascara brush and then line your eyes. This works well if your mascara is the same color as the eye liner that you typically use and even if it’s not, it will help you to get your eyes lined in a pinch. The mascara will wash off your eye lids just like it does off your lashes.
It drives me crazy paying anything more than a few dollars for nail polish that I may only wear a few times (if it even turns out to be a decent shade once I apply it). So instead of breaking the bank to achieve a rainbow of colors to your seasonal collection, try making your own:
Crumble up a shade of eye shadow and apply it to a bottle of clear nail polish -or- mix clear nail polish and crumbled eye shadow on wax paper to mix different shades, or to avoid wasting a full bottle on just one color.
add un-petroleum jelly and coconut oil in a small jar, mix to make a base, and then add Crystal Lite powder (any shade or a mix of shades) to create the tint you want to achieve.
If you’re constantly on the go, and have little time to make it to a mirror to re-apply your lipstick throughout your daily routine, here’s a little tip to help save time from reaching for that tube…
Apply Blistex before applying your lipstick in the morning. Not only will this help prevent the color from fading, but you’re keeping your pucker smooth and moisturized as well!
Apply your regular lipstick, take a tissue paper and press it against your lips. Now apply translucent powder over your lips lightly using a brush so that it seeps right into the creases of your lips thus, mattifying your lipstick.
Curl Eyelashes Using a Spoon
You don’t really need to have an eyelash curler to get fluttery eyelashes. A spoon can come handy for giving them a quick curl.
Single-Step Method: Press your eyelashes against the spoon
Place the spoon over your eyelid, close to the lash line.
Use your finger to press your eyelashes upward against the edge of the spoon.
Keeping the lashes pressed, rotate and pull the spoon outward to curl them.
Set Lipstick to Last
Lipstick tends to rub off, smudge and otherwise not look as great at the end of the day as it does when you first apply it. You can remedy this problem with a tissue and a bit of translucent powder. After you have applied your chosen lip color, just hold a tissue over your lips lightly and dust just a bit of translucent powder over the tissue. This helps to set the lipstick so that it lasts longer.
