Description

A very common indoor palm today, the parlor palm was a rarity and was considered a symbol of wealth during Victorian times. “Chamaedorea” comes from the Greek word ‘chamae’ i.e on the ground & ‘dorea’ which means fruits easy to get. They are natives of Central America (Mexico to Guatemala) rainforests. They only get a few feet tall indoors and grow maximum to 2.5ft. Outdoors can grow up to 6 ft. They have a dense and very compact shape. They are commonly used in flower arrangements. They are air purifiers and also feature in Dr. Wolverton’s list of air purifiers.
